• You tell us where the money goes - Voting privileges for customers to decide on the charities to donate to

• Live updates on the money being donated - Our checkout system updates our digital counter every time a tab is paid, so you can see how much of a difference you are making with every order

• No Tipping - Yes, that's right! We pay our bartenders and staff a living wage, so unlike other bars and restaurants, they do not make $2/hr and do not rely on tips to survive. All staff are proud of the work they are doing here to help the community, so you will still get the high level of service you expectant any other bar. Of course if you do feel the need to tip, we are happy to accept; however, our staff have agreed that 100% of their tips will go to charity and therefore will be added to the charity of the month, but the staff will appreciate that you acknowledge their hard work

• Guest Bartenders - Celebrities and athletes are always looking to help the community and the charities that they support. By making guest appearances at NPB for as little as an hour, the impact is huge as more customers are drawn to NPB, hence more money is donated

• "Open Book" Policy - On the back of every menu is the breakdown of our operating costs compared to the money we donate. As we get off the ground, build a community, and pay back our investors, our percentage donated to charity will increase. Our goal is to donate $1million dollars to charity by year 8.

• Low Marketing costs - With new partners and charities every month, we have the good fortune of being continually talked about among different circles of people. So as more people spread the word for us, it allows more to be put towards charity

• No Liquor License - You may be thinking "OH NO!!!!", but by selling only beer and wine, not only do we save considerably on our license fee (which allows more for charity...notice a pattern?), but with the quickness it takes to serve a beer or wine, we can promise that you will never have to wait in an hour cocktail line as you watch one bartender muddle essential flavors into one person's drink. Our beers and wines already come with their flavors, so you will never have to wait in line for your drink, no matter how busy we are

• The more you drink, the more you donate - It sounds funny to say, but it is true. And not only that, but the more you drink, the higher the percentage goes to charity once our operational costs are met.  But please drink responsibly and spread your "donations" across many days in the month. No need to donate all in one day, we are not going anywhere, so please take your time

• Great Staff who believe in our mission - NPB staff not only work at the Non-Profit Bar, but they also donate their time to other non-profits to improve our community 

• Sustainability - it is important for us to minimize the negative environmental impact our bar will have, so you will see a high priority in the use of energy and water effiecent, 2nd hand, repurposed, and donated equipment and furniture
