Location

The Non-Profit Bar has not yet opened. We are currently looking for a location in the North Park neighborhood of San Diego, California. Forbes recently called North Park one of the country's "best hipster neighborhoods" because of its cultural diversity, art community, and large number of cafes, restaurants, and microbreweries. Since The Non-Profit Bar does not offer food in its menu, its doors will be open to customers bringing in their own food or having a neighboring cafe drop off a snack. What make North Park and The Non-Profit Bar special is the sense of community they both embrace. The Non-Profit Bar is sure to flourish in such an up-and-coming neighborhood focused on bolstering community.

Look and Feel

The guiding aesthetic of the bar will be "the world," with highlights centered around sustainability. We hope to have designs and pictures from around the world in one place as symbolism of how close we are to each other. Patrons will also notice the furniture does not have all the same design or seem to match. This is because we will have our furniture donated from some of our partners. Depending on the furniture we receive, each piece will be as unique as the customer that sits in it. And finally, since San Diego is home to some of the best weather in the world, we want to take advantage of our location, appreciate the city we live in, and offer our customers the chance to sit outside under the sun in a patio area. See the gallery below for some images of inspiration.
